Last year, I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Matt Crossman for his AccelPro Employment Law podcast. AccelPro is an employment law forum where subscribers access peer-to-peer coaching, expert insights, and invaluable perspectives on navigating career decisions. Matt approached me to give insight on how I navigated my career from employment litigator to employment mediator. A huge podcast consumer myself, I recognized that Matt's offer would allow me to make my first podcast appearance, so I jumped at the opportunity.
The podcast episode dropped last week, and I couldn't be more impressed. Matt is an excellent interviewer. He posed thoughtful questions, such as why I chose to become a mediator, what steps I took in the course of my career to prepare me for a future in mediation, and how I made the transition from litigator to mediator. My favorite question was when he asked me for an example of an action I took as a litigator that I came to regret. (Every litigator has at least one of those; at least, I hope that's the case and it's not only me!) We even discussed the similarities between mediating and mountain biking!
It is always strange to hear a recording of your own voice, but I am proud to have been Matt's interviewee for his podcast. My first podcast appearance was definitely a success!
